Actor Atharvaa had last delivered the social thriller Boomerang directed by Kannan, and had earlier scored a success playing Nayanthara’s brother in the superhit thriller Imaikkaa Nodigal, where he was paired with Raashi Khanna. With multiple projects in his kitty, news is out on his next.

Buzz is that Atharvaa has been roped in to play the lead role in the Telugu movie Valmiki, marking his Tollywood debut. While an official announcement is awaited, it must be noted that this movie is the official Tollywood remake of 2014 Tamil hit Jigarthanda directed by Karthik  Subbaraj.

Directed by Harish Shankar, Bobby Simha’s role will be played by Varun Tej and Siddharth’s role might be played by Atharvaa if the combination works out. It has been said that popular dubsmash artist Mrinalini Ravi has been roped in to play the role played by Lakshmi Menon in the original.
