Anu Emmanuel, who was last seen in Vishal’s Thupparivalan, has been roped in to play the female lead opposite Sivakarthikeyan in his film with director Pandiraj. Earlier, it was being rumoured that Aishwarya Rajesh has been cast as the heroine in this film! But now, the makers have confirmed that it is Anu, who is part of some high-profile films in Tollywood, who will be playing this role.

The film, which is being referred to as SK16, is said to be a rural entertainer, like most of Pandiraj’s films. The director, who is coming after the success of Kadaikutty Singam, which pulled in family audiences big time, is currently busy with the pre-production work on the film. Director Bharathirajaa is said to be playing a crucial role in this film, which has music by D Imman. Sivakarthikeyan, who is currently shooting for PS Mithran’s Hero, will begin work on this film soon — by June or early July. The actor had collaborated with Pandiraj earlier, in Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga, when he was a budding actor.
