Director Suseenthiran made his debut in Tamil with the film ‘Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu‘ back in 2009 starring Vishnu Vishal and Saranya Mohan in the lead. The film also introduced a slew of supporting stars like Soori, Appu Kutty among others. The film was well received by the audience and was highly appreciated for its realistic approach and emotions.

Directed Selva Sekaran an erstwhile assistant of Suseenthiran will be directing ‘Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu 2’. The film is produced by Saai Arputham Cinemas and the makers have now revealed the release plan for the film. The film is planned for a release during the month of June as the first look teaser was released earlier on October 2018 which opened to a positive response from fans and audiences. However, an official announcement about the release date can be expected shortly.

Touted to be a sports drama will have a new protagonist played by Vikranth along with Pasupathy in the role of his father. The film will tell the tale of how Vikranth joins with the team and the bond between father and son. Kishore will reprise the character as the coach in the sequel as well.

Selvaganesh who composed music for the film will be composing for the sequel as well. E Krishnaswamy will be handling the cinematography and editing is done by Ajay. The trailer and songs of the film are expected to be released shortly.
