Jiiva, which is directed by VJ Gopinath  and that stars Vetri  (of 8 Thottakkal fame), Karunkaran, Mime Gopi, Rohini  and Monica in the lead, will launch its teaser today, at 4pm.

The team has roped in actor Arya  to release the teaser on social media. The film is touted to be a suspense thriller that revolves around a crime. Jiivi  was shot in Chennai, Theni and the song sequences were shot in Pondicherry.

When we visited the set of Jiivi sometime back, the director told us this this is debut as a director, for which Babu Thamizh has written the script. “Jiivi means brilliance, we say arivu jiivi right? “Even though it is a subject we haven’t dealt with in Tamil cinema much, the story travels in such a manner that they are logically proven. Also, it is told in a manner that everyone can understand. It is about two different people, different situations, but it will be interesting how they connect the dots. Vetri and Karunakaran play the lead. In fact, Karunakaran plays more than just a friend in this film.”
