With the first look of Rajinikanth’s ‘Darbar’ trending on social media, the team has finally begun their first schedule in Mumbai. This AR Murugadoss directorial began the schedule with a puja in Mumbai with the entire cast and crew.

Producer Subaskaran of Lyca Productions and cameranman Santosh Sivan were present for the puja. Going by the first look of the film, it seems like Rajinikanth will play the role of a cop and the film will be set against the backdrop of Mumbai.

Nayanthara plays the female lead, while Anirudh will be composing music for the film. There are reports that Nivetha Thomas will play the role of Rajini’s daughter. However, the team hasn’t confirmed as yet. Looks like it will be a completely new subject for Thalaivar.
