After the massive blockbuster success of ‘Sarkar’, Ilayathalapathy Vijay is getting ready for his next film tentatively titled Thalapathy 63.

Earlier, we have reported that actor Vivek will be starring in Thalapathy 63 after many years the duo will work together and AGS Entertainment already had announced that the lady superstar Nayantara will be playing the female lead. Recently, the team revealed that ‘ Pariyerum Perumal ‘ fame Kathir and comedian Yogi Babu and the daughter of popular comedian actor Robo Shankar  will be doing an important role in the movie.

The latest update from Thalapathy 63 is that a formal pooja with the entire cast and crew will be held tomorrow on January 20 before the film rolls into production on Monday, January 21. Touted to be a sports drama and Vijay is speculated to play a sportsman, most probably a football player or coach in the film. Atlee who previously worked with Vijay in two blockbuster hits like ‘Theri’ and ‘Mersal’ will be directing this venture as well. The film is produced by AGS Entertainment.

Academy award winning musician AR Rahman will be composing music for the film and the cinematography is handled by KG Vishnu of ‘Mersal’ fame. The film is expected to hit the screens for Diwali 2019.
